E10, E20, E40, E50 or EF0 on the display? Electrolux codes follow a logical pattern, and the first digit already tells us which system has failed. We repair at your home across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi & Ajman.
UNITECH HOME BUILDING MAINTENANCE L.L.C is an independent repair company. We are not an authorized Electrolux service centre and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Electrolux. The Electrolux name is used here only to identify the machines we repair.
Independent third-party repair notice: we are not an authorized service center, dealer or affiliate of Electrolux. Electrolux and all related model names are trademarks of their respective owner and are used on this page for identification purposes only.

Most brands assign fault codes in a way that has to be memorised model by model. Electrolux is a genuine exception. Its EWM control platforms use a structured scheme where the first digit identifies the subsystem and the second narrows the specific fault within it.
So E1 is always about getting water in, E2 about getting water out, E3 the pressure system that measures the level, E4 the door, E5 the motor, E6 heating, E7 the sensors, and E9 configuration or communication between boards. Once you know that, an unfamiliar code is no longer a mystery β E52 is a motor fault even if you have never seen E52 before.
For us that means a code sent by WhatsApp genuinely narrows what we bring. For you it means you can tell immediately whether the machine is complaining about something trivial like detergent foam, or something that needs a technician.
The EWM code family, grouped by subsystem. The same scheme applies across equivalent AEG and Zanussi models.
Water fill fault. Not filling in time. Tap closed, kinked hose, blocked inlet gauze filter or failed inlet valve.
Leak detected. Water sensed where it should not be. Needs prompt attention, especially in an apartment.
Drain fault. Not emptying in time. Blocked pump filter, blocked drain hose or failed drain pump.
Drain pump circuit. The board's pump drive or its wiring rather than the pump itself.
Pressure system. Water level sensor faulty, or its hose blocked, split or disconnected.
Door open or not closed. Door not latching, or the interlock not confirming it is shut.
Door lock fault. The interlock or its control circuit failing to lock or release correctly.
Motor circuit. Motor drive triac or short circuit on the board's motor section.
Motor feedback. Tacho signal missing, motor control fault, or worn carbon brushes on brushed models.
Heating fault. Element not heating, heating too slowly, or overheating.
NTC sensor. Temperature sensor open, short or incorrectly positioned.
Config or foam. Board configuration and communication faults; EF0 is excess suds or a restricted drain.
Exact codes vary a little between EWM platform generations. Send us a photo of the display with the model number and we will confirm what yours points to.

Across UAE homes the failures cluster in a small, predictable set of components:
Every Electrolux format found in UAE homes and small businesses.
The mainstream range β pumps, door locks, elements, sensors, bearings and boards.
Machines that adapt the cycle to the load, where sensor faults show as odd behaviour rather than clean failure.
Combined units β heating, condenser and moisture sensor faults on the drying side.
Machines behind cabinet fronts, removed on floor protection and refitted flush.
Same group, same EWM platform, same code scheme β and frequently the same components.
Also Electrolux Group. Diagnosed identically and served by the same parts pool.
Machines a decade or more old, still very repairable thanks to shared platform components.
Electrolux machines running long daily cycles in laundries, salons and staff accommodation.
We are not an authorized Electrolux service centre. UNITECH HOME BUILDING MAINTENANCE L.L.C is a private, independent repair company holding UAE trade licence number 134585. We have no affiliation with Electrolux or the Electrolux Group, no endorsement from them, and no authorization to carry out warranty work on their behalf.
If your washing machine is still within its manufacturer warranty period, contact Electrolux or the retailer you bought it from first β a repair carried out by an independent company can affect that cover, and you may be entitled to a free repair you would otherwise pay us for. Tell us how old the machine is and we will give you an honest view.
The spare parts we fit are high-quality OEM-standard compatible components. Where a group-equivalent AEG or Zanussi part is a correct match for your model, we will tell you that is what is being used, along with the cost, before it goes in.
The code narrows the subsystem immediately on this platform, so it genuinely speeds things up.
Pump, brushes, heater, NTC sensor, pressure hose and door lock tested in order.
Exact price for parts and labour before dismantling. Nothing proceeds without your approval.
Common group pumps, brushes and door locks carried on the van for single-visit repairs.
Complete cycle run, heating and spin confirmed, machine re-levelled before we leave.

No. We are UNITECH HOME BUILDING MAINTENANCE L.L.C, a private independent repair company licensed in the UAE under trade licence 134585. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorized service provider of Electrolux. We repair Electrolux machines as an independent third party and use the brand name only to identify the machines we work on.
Electrolux uses a systematic scheme on its EWM control platforms, and once you know the pattern the code tells you the subsystem immediately. Codes beginning E1 are water filling, E2 are draining, E3 are the pressure system, E4 are the door, E5 are the motor, E6 are heating, E7 are sensors, and E9 are configuration or communication. The second digit narrows it further within that subsystem.
Usually not. E20 is a drain fault, and the most common causes are a blocked pump filter, a blocked or kinked drain hose, or a failed drain pump. A filter clean costs nothing but the callout and a drain pump is an inexpensive part fitted quickly. You get the fixed price before any work starts.
Yes. All three are Electrolux Group brands and equivalent models share a great deal of platform engineering, including the same EWM control families and the same E-code diagnostic scheme. Many components are similar or interchangeable across the three, which genuinely widens parts availability in the UAE and helps keep repair costs down.
EF0 indicates excessive foam or a restricted drain β the machine has detected that it is struggling to clear suds and water. It is very often caused by too much detergent, or by using a detergent not intended for front loaders, rather than by a mechanical failure. If reducing the dose does not resolve it, the drain path needs checking properly.
If your machine is still within its manufacturer warranty period, contact Electrolux or your retailer first, because a repair by any third party can affect that cover. Our service is intended for out-of-warranty machines, or where the owner has chosen to use an independent repairer. Tell us the age of the machine and we will give you an honest view on which route makes more sense.
On this platform the code tells us the subsystem straight away. Photograph the display and the model sticker and we will tell you what it points to before you commit.
The model number is on a sticker inside the door rim or on the rear panel. With that and the E-code, we can usually diagnose before arriving.
