Candy built its reputation on machines that fit where others will not — and in Dubai apartments that is exactly why so many are installed. We repair the slim-depth models, the smart models and the older ones, at your home.
UNITECH HOME BUILDING MAINTENANCE L.L.C is an independent repair company. We are not an authorized Candy service centre and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Candy, Hoover or Haier. The brand name is used here only to identify the machines we repair.
Independent third-party repair notice: we are not an authorized service center, dealer or affiliate of Candy. Candy and all related model names are trademarks of their respective owner and are used on this page for identification purposes only.

Candy has long specialised in slim-depth machines — units engineered to fit spaces a standard-depth washing machine simply will not. In Dubai that is not a niche feature, it is the reason thousands of them are installed. A studio utility cupboard, a narrow kitchen run, a bathroom recess: the Candy fits and the alternatives do not.
That changes the repair-or-replace calculation in a way owners often miss. If your machine occupies a space that only a slim-depth model fits, replacing it is not simply a matter of buying a cheaper machine — you are limited to the same narrow category, and you may find the modern equivalent does not fit either. Repairing the machine you have is frequently the only option that keeps the installation as it is, without joinery changes or a compromise on capacity.
The good news is that the internals are standard components in a tighter box. The teardown needs more care because everything is packed closer together, but the pump, door lock, element and shock absorbers are ordinary parts at ordinary prices.
If you have searched for a Candy error code list, you will have found several that disagree with each other. That is not carelessness on the part of the people publishing them — Candy has genuinely not used one consistent scheme across its range.
Some models display a numeric or alphanumeric code. Others, particularly simpler dial-based machines, have no display capable of showing one and instead report faults through a pattern of flashing indicator lights. And the meanings have shifted between model generations. The result is that a table published online may accurately describe one Candy and be simply wrong for yours.
So we diagnose from the symptom, which holds true across every version, and confirm the specific failed component on site with test equipment. If your machine does show a code or a flashing pattern, send us a photo or a short video — we will read it against the correct model family rather than a generic list.
This works on every Candy generation, with or without a display.
Drain fault. Blocked pump filter behind the bottom-front flap, blocked drain hose, or a failed drain pump. The most common Candy callout.
Interlock or drainage. If water remains it is a drain fault holding the lock. If the drum is empty, the interlock has usually failed.
Drain first, then drive. Check for standing water. If empty, suspect brushes on brushed motors, or the door lock signal.
Heating circuit. Heating element or temperature sensor failure, with scale build-up contributing over time.
Inlet side. Tap partly closed, kinked hose, or a blocked gauze filter in the inlet valve — common with tank sediment here.
Suspension. Worn shock absorbers. On a slim machine in a tight recess this sounds far worse than the movement warrants.
Drum bearings. The one significant repair, and the reason we check drum play early on this segment.
Fault report without a display. The pattern is readable. Photograph or video it and send it with your model number.
Not a mechanical fault. Pairing and network issues on smart models are not something a repair visit resolves.

Consistent, and almost entirely inexpensive component work:
Every Candy format found in UAE homes, with or without a display.
The brand's speciality and the reason so many are fitted here. Tighter internals, standard parts.
Full-depth machines — pumps, door locks, elements, brushes, sensors and bearings.
App-connected machines. Send the app fault screenshot; pairing issues are not repair faults.
No digital display, so faults show as flashing indicator lights. Fully diagnosable.
Combined units — heating, condenser and moisture sensor faults on the drying side.
Machines behind cabinet fronts, removed on floor protection and refitted flush.
Long-shared platform engineering within the same group means overlapping components.
Machines a decade or more old, still repairable using widely shared components.
We are not an authorized Candy service centre. UNITECH HOME BUILDING MAINTENANCE L.L.C is a private, independent repair company holding UAE trade licence number 134585. We have no affiliation with Candy, Hoover or Haier, no endorsement from them, and no authorization to carry out warranty work on their behalf.
If your washing machine is still within its manufacturer or retailer warranty period, contact them first — a repair carried out by an independent company can affect that cover. Our service is intended for machines that are out of warranty, or where the owner has chosen an independent repairer.
The spare parts we fit are high-quality OEM-standard compatible components. Where a group-equivalent part is a correct match for your model, we will tell you that is what is being used, along with the cost, before it goes in.
What the machine is doing, plus the model number. If lights are flashing, send a short video.
Tell us if it is a slim-depth machine in a tight recess — it changes how the technician plans access.
Pump, door lock, heater, sensor and brushes tested with instruments rather than from a generic code list.
Exact price for parts and labour before anything is dismantled. Nothing proceeds without approval.
Full cycle run, machine re-levelled in its recess with clearance from the walls, area left clean.
Compare with other brands, or read about the specific symptom your Candy is showing.

The full washing machine service — every type, every brand, all four emirates.
The most common Candy fault, with the safe checks to try before calling out.
Levelling and clearance matter far more on a slim machine in a tight recess.
Brushes versus motor — why the cheaper fix is usually the right one.
No. We are UNITECH HOME BUILDING MAINTENANCE L.L.C, a private independent repair company licensed in the UAE under trade licence 134585. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorized service provider of Candy, Hoover or Haier. We repair Candy machines as an independent third party and use the brand name only to identify the machines we work on.
Because Candy has not used one consistent fault-indication scheme across its range. Some models display a code, others report faults through a pattern of flashing indicator lights, and the meanings have shifted between generations. A code table found online is frequently written for a different model family than the machine in your home, so we work from the symptom — which is reliable on every version — and confirm the failed component on site with test equipment.
It makes the work more confined rather than more difficult. Candy is well known for slim-depth machines built to fit narrow spaces, which is exactly why they are so common in Dubai apartments. The internals are packed closer together, so a careful teardown matters more, but the components themselves are standard. Our technicians work on these regularly and come prepared for the tighter access.
Usually yes. Candy and Hoover have long shared platform engineering as part of the same group, and the group now sits under Haier ownership. That gives a technician more than one route to a correct component rather than a single narrow supply line. Common items — pumps, door locks, heating elements, shock absorbers and door seals — are generally obtainable without a long wait.
Almost certainly not. Connectivity problems on smart models are usually to do with the home network, the app account or the pairing process rather than the machine's washing function. A machine that washes, drains and spins correctly but will not pair is not a mechanical fault and is not something a repair visit will resolve. If the app is showing a genuine fault code, though, send us a screenshot — that is useful.
Usually yes. Candy sits in the value to mid segment and the common faults are inexpensive components — drain pumps, door locks, heating elements, shock absorbers and door seals. Fitting one of those costs a fraction of a replacement, particularly worth doing if the machine is a slim-depth model that fits a space a standard machine would not. The exception is worn drum bearings, where the labour can approach the machine's value, and we check that early.
Symptom, model number, and a photo of the display or the flashing lights. On a Candy that is genuinely more useful than any code list.
Model number, what the machine is doing, and whether it is a slim-depth unit in a tight recess. That last detail changes how we plan the access.
