Indesit sits at the value end of a very large European group, and that is genuinely good news when something fails β the parts are inexpensive, widely shared and easy to source. Most Indesit repairs are cheap ones.
UNITECH HOME BUILDING MAINTENANCE L.L.C is an independent repair company. We are not an authorized Indesit service centre and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Indesit or the Whirlpool group. The brand name is used here only to identify the machines we repair.
Independent third-party repair notice: we are not an authorized service center, dealer or affiliate of Indesit. Indesit and all related model names are trademarks of their respective owner and are used on this page for identification purposes only.

Indesit occupies the value tier of a very large European appliance group. Owners sometimes read that as a warning sign, expecting parts to be scarce or the machine to be disposable. In practice it works the other way round, and it is worth understanding before you decide whether to repair or replace.
Indesit, Ariston and Hotpoint have shared platform engineering for many years, and the whole group joined Whirlpool in 2014. The practical consequence is that when a technician needs a pump, a door lock, a heating element or an NTC sensor for an Indesit, there are several routes to a correct part rather than one narrow supply line. That widens availability considerably in this market and keeps prices down.
Combine that with the fact that these are inherently inexpensive components, and the arithmetic on an Indesit repair is usually straightforward: the common faults cost a small fraction of a replacement machine. The one exception worth flagging is drum bearings, where the labour on a value-segment machine can approach what the machine is worth β so we check those early rather than at the end.
Indesit uses the same F-code family as Ariston and Hotpoint. These are the four that account for most callouts.
Drain fault. Not emptying in time. Blocked pump filter, blocked drain hose or a failed drain pump. The most common Indesit code by a clear margin.
Door lock or button fault. Interlock not confirming the door is closed, or a programme button reading as stuck.
Heating circuit. Heating relay stuck or an element and pressure switch combination the board rejects. Washes finish cold.
Motor tacho fault. The motor is not reporting speed correctly. Often carbon brushes on brushed-motor models β an inexpensive fix.
Because Indesit, Ariston and Hotpoint share the same F-code diagnostic system, we publish the complete table once rather than repeating it on three pages. If your code is not one of the four above, the full list β F01 through F15, covering board, sensor, pressure, drying and communication faults β is on the Ariston page and applies directly to your Indesit.

Consistent, well-understood, and almost entirely inexpensive component work:
Every Indesit format found in UAE homes and small businesses.
The mainstream range β pumps, door locks, elements, brushes, sensors and bearings.
Compact machines built for narrow utility cupboards and bathroom recesses.
Combined units β drying sensor and drying heater faults alongside all washing repairs.
Same group, same F-codes, frequently the same components and parts pool.
Also shares the platform. Diagnosed identically and served by the same parts.
Machines behind cabinet fronts, removed on floor protection and refitted flush.
Machines a decade or more old, still very repairable thanks to shared group components.
Machines in shared flats running many loads a day, where pumps and locks wear fastest.
We are not an authorized Indesit service centre. UNITECH HOME BUILDING MAINTENANCE L.L.C is a private, independent repair company holding UAE trade licence number 134585. We have no affiliation with Indesit or the Whirlpool group, no endorsement from them, and no authorization to carry out warranty work on their behalf.
If your washing machine is still within its manufacturer warranty period, contact Indesit or the retailer you bought it from first β a repair carried out by an independent company can affect that cover. Our service is intended for machines that are out of warranty, or where the owner has chosen an independent repairer.
The spare parts we fit are high-quality OEM-standard compatible components. Where a group-equivalent Ariston or Hotpoint part is a correct match for your model, we will tell you that is what is being used, along with the cost, before it goes in.
Photograph the display and the model sticker. The F-code narrows the diagnosis quickly on this platform.
On a value-segment machine the bearing question decides the economics, so we test drum play first.
Pump, heater, NTC sensor, pressure hose, door lock and brushes tested in order.
Exact price for parts and labour before dismantling. Nothing proceeds without your approval.
Complete cycle run, heating and drain confirmed, machine re-levelled before we leave.

F05 explained at component level β and when a clean beats a replacement.
F02 usually means carbon brushes, not a motor. Why the cheaper fix is the right one.
No. We are UNITECH HOME BUILDING MAINTENANCE L.L.C, a private independent repair company licensed in the UAE under trade licence 134585. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorized service provider of Indesit or the Whirlpool group. We repair Indesit machines as an independent third party and use the brand name only to identify the machines we work on.
They are closely related. Indesit, Ariston and Hotpoint have shared platform engineering for many years and all joined the Whirlpool group in 2014, so equivalent European models use the same F-code diagnostic system and frequently the same components. Indesit generally sits at the value end of that range and Ariston a step above, but from a repair perspective the diagnostic approach and the parts pool overlap heavily.
F05 is a drain fault β the machine has not emptied within the expected time, or the pressure system still reports water present. The usual causes are a blocked pump filter, a blocked or kinked drain hose, or a failed drain pump. It is the most common Indesit repair and among the least expensive. The full code list for this platform is on our Ariston page, since the two brands share it.
Repair usually wins clearly, because the common Indesit faults are inexpensive components β drain pumps, door locks, heating elements, NTC sensors and carbon brushes. Fitting one of those costs a small fraction of a new machine. The exception is worn drum bearings, where on a value-segment machine the labour involved can approach or exceed what the machine is worth. We check the bearings early and tell you which situation you are in before quoting.
Yes, and more easily than many owners expect. Because Indesit shares components with Ariston, Hotpoint and the wider Whirlpool group range, a technician looking for a pump, door lock or element has several routes to a correct part rather than one narrow supply line. That widens availability locally and keeps repair costs down, including on older machines.
If your machine is still within its manufacturer warranty period, contact Indesit or your retailer first, because a repair by any third party can affect that cover. Our service is intended for out-of-warranty machines, or where the owner has chosen to use an independent repairer. Tell us the age of the machine and we will give you an honest view on which route makes more sense.
Most Indesit repairs are inexpensive component work. Photograph the display and the model sticker and we will tell you what it points to before you commit.
The model number is on a sticker inside the door rim or on the rear panel. With that and the F-code, we can usually diagnose before arriving.
