Top load, semi-automatic or front load — we repair Daewoo machines at your home across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi & Ajman. Send the model number, not just the badge, and we will tell you what we are dealing with.
UNITECH HOME BUILDING MAINTENANCE L.L.C is an independent repair company. We are not an authorized Daewoo service centre and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Daewoo or any company licensing the Daewoo name. The brand name is used here only to identify the machines we repair.
Independent third-party repair notice: we are not an authorized service center, dealer or affiliate of Daewoo. Daewoo and all related model names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used on this page for identification purposes only.

Daewoo is an unusual case among washing machine brands, and it is worth understanding before you take advice from anywhere — including a repair company.
Daewoo-branded appliances sold in this region have come from more than one manufacturer over the years. The name has been carried by different producers in different markets and periods, which means two machines with the same badge, bought a few years apart, can be genuinely different machines inside. Same logo on the front, different internals behind it.
The practical consequence is direct. A Daewoo error code list found online may accurately describe a machine built by one manufacturer and be simply wrong for yours. Following it leads a technician to test the wrong component and, in the worst case, to replace a part that was never faulty.
So we do two things. We ask for the model number rather than the badge, because that identifies what is actually in front of us. And we diagnose from the symptom, which is reliable regardless of who built the machine, confirming the failed component on site with test equipment.
This works on every Daewoo machine — front load, top load or semi-automatic, display or no display.
Drain fault. Blocked pump filter or drain hose, a failed drain pump, or on semi-automatics a stuck drain valve. The most common Daewoo callout and among the cheapest.
Drive or drain. Check for standing water first. If empty, suspect a slipping or snapped belt, a failed spin motor, or a tired capacitor.
Capacitor or seized drive. The motor is energised but cannot start rotating. An inexpensive part on most of these machines.
Timer fault. Very common on semi-automatic and mechanical-timer models. The machine stops sequencing and sits on one part of the programme.
Inlet side. Tap partly closed, kinked hose, or a blocked gauze filter in the inlet valve — common with tank sediment in the UAE.
Heating circuit. Heating element or temperature sensor failure on automatic models, with scale contributing over time.
Suspension or levelling. Worn shock absorbers, or feet that were never levelled. Check transit bolts if it was recently moved.
Drum bearings. The one significant repair on this list, and the one where the economics need checking first.
Power path. Wall switch, socket and breaker first, then the internal wiring and mains filter.

These are value-segment machines, and that is genuinely good news when something fails — almost every common fault is an inexpensive mechanical part:
Every Daewoo format found in UAE homes, with or without a digital display.
Pulsator, clutch, gearbox, lid switch and drain valve repairs on full-size top loaders.
Manual fill and drain machines — timers, spin motors and drain valves. Inexpensive to fix.
Separate wash and spin tubs. Mechanical diagnosis and very economical repairs.
Automatic front loaders — pumps, door locks, heating elements and bearings.
Machines showing a code, read against the correct model rather than a generic list.
Purely mechanical machines with no code to read — diagnosed by testing, as they always were.
Machines no longer sold, still repairable using widely shared mechanical components.
Machines in shared flats running many loads a day, where pumps and belts wear fastest.
We are not an authorized Daewoo service centre. UNITECH HOME BUILDING MAINTENANCE L.L.C is a private, independent repair company holding UAE trade licence number 134585. We have no affiliation with Daewoo or with any company licensing the Daewoo name, no endorsement from them, and no authorization to carry out warranty work on their behalf.
If your washing machine is still within its manufacturer or retailer warranty period, contact them first — a repair carried out by an independent company can affect that cover. Our service is intended for machines that are out of warranty, or where the owner has chosen an independent repairer.
The spare parts we fit are high-quality OEM-standard compatible components. We tell you which part is being used and what it costs before it goes in.
On a Daewoo the model tells us what the machine actually is. A photo of the rating plate is ideal.
Symptom-led diagnosis works on every version of this badge, display or no display.
Pump, valve, timer, motor, capacitor and belt tested with instruments rather than from a code list.
Exact cost before any work — and a straight answer if the repair does not make financial sense.
Complete wash, drain and spin run before we leave, and the work area left clean and dry.

No. We are UNITECH HOME BUILDING MAINTENANCE L.L.C, a private independent repair company licensed in the UAE under trade licence 134585. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorized service provider of Daewoo or any company licensing the Daewoo name. We repair these machines as an independent third party and use the brand name only to identify the machines we work on.
Because Daewoo-branded appliances sold in this region have come from more than one manufacturer over the years. Two machines wearing the same badge, bought a few years apart, can have genuinely different internals. The model number identifies what is actually in front of us, whereas the badge alone does not. It is the single most useful thing you can send us.
Treat it with caution. Because the badge has covered machines from different manufacturers, a code list published online may well describe a completely different machine from yours. That is precisely why we diagnose Daewoo machines from the symptom and confirm the component on site with test equipment, rather than working from a generic table that may not apply.
Yes, and a large share of the Daewoo machines we service in the UAE are exactly that — top load and semi-automatic units with no digital display at all. These are mechanical machines and they are diagnosed mechanically: by testing the timer, the motors, the drain valve, the lid switch and the drive. No fault code is needed or expected.
Usually yes, and often more clearly than with premium machines. Daewoo sits in the value segment, and the faults these machines develop are mechanical and inexpensive — drain pumps, drain valves, timers, belts, capacitors and lid switches. Fitting one of those costs a fraction of a replacement. The exception is worn drum bearings on a low-cost machine, where the labour can exceed the machine's value, and we will say so plainly.
Usually. The mechanical components these machines use — pumps, valves, belts, capacitors, timers and switches — are widely available and frequently shared across model families and manufacturers. A discontinued machine does not mean unobtainable parts. If a specific component genuinely cannot be sourced, we tell you before you spend anything further rather than after.
On a Daewoo those two things beat any code list. Photograph the rating plate, tell us what the machine is doing, and we will tell you what it points to.
The model number is on a rating plate on the rear panel or inside the door rim. Add whether it is front load, top load or semi-automatic.
