How does your technician get through the Arabian Ranches community gate?

Gated communities register visiting contractors at the gate. The simplest approach is to give us your villa number and sub-community when you book, and to let community security know a technician is expected. Our technician carries company identification and the trade licence details if security asks.

We have two washing machines — one in the laundry and one in the maid's room. Can both be checked in one visit?

Yes, and it is usually the sensible thing to do. Second machines in maid's rooms are often older and less well maintained than the main one, and looking at both in a single visit avoids paying for a second callout later.

My washing machine is very noisy on the spin cycle. What is that likely to be in a villa?

In villas the usual answer is worn drum bearings, because large-capacity machines running heavy family loads wear their bearings faster than smaller apartment machines. A grinding or rumbling noise that rises with spin speed points to bearings; a rattling or knocking sound is more likely to be shock absorbers or a foreign object in the outer tub.

Our machine sits in a hot utility room next to the garage. Does that cause problems?

It does contribute. Utility rooms that are not fully air conditioned reach high summer temperatures, and sustained heat shortens the life of control boards, plastic hoses and door seals. It is one reason villa machines often need electronic repairs rather than purely mechanical ones.
